Pancake, a 3-month-aged Pomeranian puppy dog, was a bundle of energy Wednesday in the arms of new operator Phoebe Ervin, a retired Military beat veteran who served in the Gulf and Iraq wars.

Ervin, of New Hyde Park, thanked the proprietor and staff members at The Left Paw pet store for her new psychological guidance companion, who was dressed up for the occasion with a brown bow tie the excellent accent to his extensive fluffy beige fur.
